First off, to give credit where credit is due, thank you Randy Drisgill, Kyle Schaffer, and the folks at Blue Rooster for all contributing unknowingly to this file.

Contents

This is what I find myself using for 99% of all my SharePoint 2010 Master Pages. It includes:

  • A solid Starter Master page
  • A sticky footer
  • A concealed Ribbon (very useful)
  • An improved scroll fix that overrides the horrendous V4 one.
  • Lots and lots of compression

Generator to come soon!

Great template to start from, but it turned out to have an issue with IE7 and no scrolling. I managed to find a fix here:

Thanks very much for the master page. I’m trying to use this in my solution but it is not quite working.
The referenced CSS does not exist so it appears with several parts missing. Is there any chance you can provide me with the style.css that you have used?

Thanks so much, its very useful.
